I also agonized for about a month before taking the plunge of ordering this dress for my wedding in June. The dress arrived about 4 weeks later, as expected and on a first inspection, it looked and felt really good. I had to pay ?60 for the import tax (UK) but I knew that would be the case anyway. I had ordered a standard size 8, since I think the custom-made option is no longer available for this dress. I tried it on straight away and it was perfect on the top, but it needed adjusting around the stomach and hips. I knew I would need to have it altered by a tailor so, my main worry was to make sure a good one inspected the dress and confirmed that all the alterations could be done. (You should do this within a week, as you can't return the dress after then).My tailor reassured me that the dress was all well made and within 3 days he had done a perfect job with the the waist and hips area. I have now bought my shoes too and I'm getting the dress shortened to make it more manageable. My tailor suggesting tucking the extra organza at the bottom around the edges to give it extra volume and prevent from stepping into it (as another customer had reported would be the case if the organza layer was left to hang over the satin one). He has also pinned some of the layers of organza to keep them in place and prevent them from going up in the hips, which was making me look wider in the hips. All in all, with a little bit of tweaking, this dress is an excellent buy and everyone at the workshop commented on the lovely design and how elegant it looks!. I am very very pleased with it and I will post some photographs after the wedding. I know how anxious I was before ordering it, and it got worse when I came back to the site to read a bad review of someone who had had problems with it...But I'm very pleased to have bought it for my wedding. It really feels and looks expensive. Classic, elegant, and for a fraction of the price. The only dress that I had liked in a high street shop was almost ?2000!
